How do you access the mind of an abused black man? The villainous, predatory outcasts we consign to the shadows of society that walk among us every day. They carry their stories with them, never asked to share, never allowed to process, and creating their own sense of normality. But what happens when we get a glimpse? Triggered follows a day in the life of two such men, one named Malik and the other Keith--and as they share their stories, we are forced to come to terms with how our urge to suppress, hide and lock away our thoughts and feelings that feed the very thing we most fear.
